The WI-XB400 is both lightweight and portable, with a flexible neck strap that makes it easier to slip into your bag when you're on the move
The Sony WI-XB400 EXTRA BASS wireless in-ear headphones are inexpensive earbuds for everyday use. Although they are marketed to fans of the bass-heavy genre, their overall sound profile remains relatively balanced without any signs of boominess. They offer a fairly stable fit, won't fall out during exercise, and have a long battery life that lasts all day.
You can expect all the standard features using the 3-button remote control and the microphone on the cable. These controls allow you to play/pause, skip tracks, answer/hang up calls and adjust the volume. You can also activate the voice assistant.
With the press of a button, you can connect to your smartphone's voice assistant to get directions, play music and communicate with contacts.1
With the built-in microphone, calls are easy and smooth with hands-free calling. No need to even take your phone out of your pocket.
The soft, flexible and lightweight neckband is designed for all-day wear. Each earbud has a built-in magnet for easy portability and storage, so you can keep things tidy when the music stops.
The design of the Sony WI-XB400 is fairly simple. There is a fairly long cable connecting the two earbuds, and a built-in remote control that also accommodates the microphone. The earbuds are magnetic, and they snap together when you're not using them. They are almost identical to the Sony WI-C310.
These earbuds have a nice comfort level. They are quite small and should fit most ears and come with 3 different sizes of ear plugs. The earplugs need to be inserted deep into the ear canal for stability and isolation; however, due to their small size, wearing them for extended periods of time will not cause any discomfort.
The WI-XB400 has a nice control scheme. The embedded remote control is easy to use and provides nice feedback at the push of a button. You can also use voice control by activating the preferred digital assistant.
These earbuds are quite stable. As long as you can fit the provided earbuds well, you won't have any stability issues when using them for sports. However, a small pull on the cable may cause them to fall out. In addition, the cable is quite long, causing the in-line remote to bounce around during movement.
